"I was traveling with friends from Omaha, Nebraska to Northern New Mexico on 4 June 2008. I was experiencing engine cut-outs and back-firing with my 95 th Anniversary 1998 Road King. We pulled into Dodge City Harley-Davidson at 5:15 PM. I feared the worst, that I would have to leave my favorite bike in Kansas, and I would have to slink back to Omaha in a Greyhound bus, or the bin of an organic manure spreader. Your technicians truly dropped everything they were working on, to lend a hand or a thought. They quizzed me extensively about: 1. my current problem, 2. my bike "set-up" and modifications, 3. my riding experience and riding habits. 4. After that, they loaned me their pick-up to use as we checked in to a motel.
It was a long night waiting for the 9:00 AM opening of the service department. I did not know what to expect for the day's choices. As I entered the shop at opening time, I found my bike reassembled, the saddlebags were being secured, my windshield "debugged", my bike had been cleaned an wiped down. Your team members not only "got me back on the road", but they saved my trusted bike, and certainly preserved the entire trip for me. Your staff is a credit to the Harley-Davidson tradition, your organization, and certainly a credit to each of them personally.
